Verification Policy
Federal regulations require some FAFSA applications to be selected for a process called verification. If selected, students must provide additional documentation before aid can be awarded or disbursed.
ECTC may request:
Federal tax transcripts or signed tax returns
W-2 forms
Household size and number in college verification
Proof of identity or high school completion status
Deadlines and Consequences
Documentation must be submitted within 30 days of request.
No financial aid will be disbursed until verification is complete.
Failure to submit documents may result in loss of aid eligibility.
