Program Description
After successfully completing this program, the student will be able to perform the following: apply basic shop skills, oxyfuel gas cutting principles and practice, shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) skills, intermediate oxyfuel gas cuttings principles, intermediate shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) skills, drawing and welding symbol interpretation skill, identify basic metals accurately, demonstrate arc cutting principles and practices, apply basic gas metal arc welding (GMAW) skills, intermediate gas metal arc welding (GMAW) skills, flux-cored arc welding (FCAW) skills, basic gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) skills intermediate gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) skills, and fabricate / weld carbon steel pipe joints and stainless steel pipe joints.
