Magnet Innovation Center is a unique school focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics project based learning and instruction.

Founded in 2019, MIC’s goal is to create opportunities for our students to participate in engaging, hands-on, inquiry based instruction that applies to real-world scenarios. We strive to prepare our students for college and in-demand careers and careers of the future through our STEAM instruction. This is accomplished through our project based learning approach that not only focuses on STEAM content, but also on skills such as collaboration, critical thinking, and problem solving.

Mission:

Through innovative science, technology, engineering, art, and math academic programs aligned with community partnerships, we CHALLENGE students to be intellectually curious, to think critically, and to be creative problem-solvers so they may ACHIEVE higher levels of learning and EXCEL as the next generation of STEAM leaders. 

Vision:

Our graduates will be college and career-ready as a result of their STEAM academic successes and from earning in-demand industry certifications.

MIC is an extension of South Walton High School, located on a separate campus.

Students that attend MIC will be Panthers and Seahawks!  They will have the opportunity to participate in all sports, clubs, organizations, and extracurriculars offered at MIC and SWHS.
